Chicago stands out as the nation's railroad capital. It's an exciting place to explore railroad operations with its network of rail lines unlike anywhere else. Pentrex has captured this intense activity on its visit to many fascinating Chicago railroad sites.
Nineteen different railroads are included in this tour. We'll take you to some less well-known camera locations in the inner city as well as to famous hot spots like Dolton, McCook and State Line Tower.
Locomotives from the latest Santa Fe Warbonnets to the time-worn North Western Geeps are part of the show. The popular Burlington Northern E-Units are included, along with a Belt Railway of Chicago Alco C-424. High speed railroading is highlighted as we watch Amtrak passenger trains dash to meet their schedules and Santa Fe pig trains speeding toward their destinations.
